Instagram is doing more to keep offensive followers off your feeds by adding a new feature dubbed "mute." This is a new option added to the menu that, when selected, will let you hide posts from followers you don't want to see without having to unfollow them.

Instagram is looking to bridge the gap between Instagram posts and stories as it adds a new feature that will allow users share photos directly from their posts to stories as stickers.

Instagram's 'Usage Insights' will show you how much time you spend in the app



Instagram will soon be adding a new tool to the app called "Usage Insights" which well help users see how much time they have spent in the social media app. This's according to a discovery from app researcher Jane Manchun Wong who found the feature hidden in the code of Instagram’s Android app.

Twitter doubles its character count to give users more room for expression

Twitter has decided to double its character count for the first time since its inception in 2005. Twitter has now increased the number of character count for its tweets from 140 to 280 to enable users express themselves more in a single post (tweet) instead of having to truncate the tweets and chain it into replies.
