Google introduced a new "Digital Well-being" initiative to its audience and the world at large at its recent I/O developer conference that will make its debut on Android P.

The new "Digital Well-being feature is what Google has designed to help you do other meaningful things with your time other than just being on your smartphone browsing the Internet, watching movies or playing games 24/7. This initiative, in short will make you use your smartphone less.

While this was a feature initially coming to Android P, Google has decided to introduce something similar on YouTube. YouTube's latest update now has a "remind me to take break" option which basically notifies you to take a break for certain amount of time after which you can decide to go back to watching the videos.

You can set the reminder frequency from "Never" to as long as 180 minutes (or 3 hours). So, depending on the duration you selected, the app will notify you as such to "take a break." To set this, open the YouTube app on your phone and and click on your image in the top right corner. Once that is done, go to Settings > General > Remind me to take a break.

This feature will undoubtedly prove useful for kids and adults alike that loose track of time while watching tons of videos like LeBron's incredible last buzzer three pointers for Cleveland, Davido's assurance for Chioma, or even Cee-c's bbnaija drama.

What do you guys think of this new YouTube "take a break" option?!
