CBN limits Mobile Money transactions via USSD to N100,000 per day

The Central Bank of Nigeria, in a bid to reduce the incidence of fraud, has put a cap on mobile money transactions via Unstructured Supplementary Service Data (USSD) to N100,000 ($278) per day.

Banks' Shareholders to Etisalat Nigeria: "Pay up your debt or risk legal action"
The shareholders group of the 13 banks involved in the N1.2 billion loan for Etisalat Nigeria, in order to guarantee the payment of their annual dividends, has asked the mobile operator to pay up its outstanding debt.

Nigerian Banks take over Telecoms Company Etisalat due to N541 billion debt
Etisalat, The fourth largest telecommunication company in Nigeria, has been taken over by a consortium of banks, led by Access Bank PLC, due to its inability to repay a debt, in tune of N541.8 billion.
