Apple unveiled the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus at the Apple event, with a slew of other new gadgets and the 10 year anniversary iPhone X.
The iPhone 8 and 8 Plus comes with big improvements in terms of performance, new camera optics and wireless charging. The iPhone duo's most obvious change compared to its predecessors is seen in the design.

Underneath the glass is the 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch 'Retina' HD display panels which are of the same resolution with the 7/7 Plus. 3D vision, True Tone and Cinema Wide Colour Gamut also return.

The cameras on the back of both iPhone 8 and 8 Plus remain at 12-megapixels with f/1.8 aperture, but Apple claims this new sensors comes with improved ISP. The second back camera of the iPhone 8 Plus is a 12 megapixel telephoto lens with a brighter f/2.8 aperture.
The new sensors offers faster low light focusing, improved sharpness and dynamic range, and lower noise, thanks to the pairing with the Apple's new A11 Bionic chipset. It also brings faster 4K video recording speed at 60fps and 1080p video recording up to 240fps

The telephoto lens on the 8 Plus comes with a new feature called Portrait Lighting. This feature makes use of both cameras to capture the face of your subject, in real time, and adjusts the tone curve of the face to make it better lit, which you can choose to adjust the effect after taking the picture.

Apple adds it new six-core A11 Bionic chipset to this years iPhone lineups. The chipset is paired with a first ever Apple-designed GPU. Two out of the six cores are high-powered cores that are 25% faster than the ones on last gen A10 Fusion chip. The other four energy efficient cores are 70% faster than the two low-power cores in the A10 Fusion chip.
The GPU is the first Apple-made one and is comprised of 3 cores, promising 30% faster performance compared to the GPU inside the A10 Fusion.

The iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus now feature glass back panels and this allows for Qi Wireless Charging and fast charging support. Apple says the duo can go from 0 to 50% in just 30 mins.
The Apple iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus will go on pre-order on September 15 and will be available of sale on September 22.
Both phones will be available in 64GB and 256GB models. The 64GB model of the iPhone 8 starts at $699 while the 64GB iPhone 8 Plus starts at $799. The Price of the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus in Nigeria is about 252,000 naira and 288,000 naira respectively, at the current exchange rate.
