FIFA '18 records massive sales just under a week of release

FIFA '18

FIFA, as it is widely called is, no doubt, the most popular football gaming series on the planet right now and that means a massive fan base, who are always in grave anticipation for the annual release of the gaming outfit.
Fast forward to 2017, another FIFA Soccer game, FIFA '18 has been released just last Friday and Electronic Arts, EA are pleased to share with us that FIFA '18 is already a hit as it has sold a huge 1.6 million copies to users across all platforms in just under a week of release. (Oh, ...and that annoucment was made yesterday, so yeah, that is how much craze and love for the game I just talked about).

But that is as specific as EA got on the 2017 FIFA '18 release. “That’s a lot of people playing FIFA 18,” EA added in a tweet it used to dish out the announcement. I can't really tell how this figures compare to the first week of release of 2016s' FIFA '17 or any one in the series before it but I will just say it is a huge achievement for EA.
Meanwhile, FIFA has always florished when it comes to graphics in their games, but not the actual gameplay, which has seen PES take that crown two years running and early testing suggest that this year might be the same for FIFA.

GameSpot gave the FIFA '17 a rating of 7/10 in its review, with the reviewer Oscar Dayus saying “This year’s improvements are welcome, but more needs to be done in the coming years if FIFA is to be a world-beater once again.”
FIFA 18 is out now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC, along with last-generation consoles. The game’s first title update hit PC earlier this week, making changes and improvements to numerous elements of the game.

It’s not the only big-time professional soccer game on the market currently, as Konami’s PES 2018 recently released as well.
Some of the latest features of the game include:

New Player Positioning
New Player Positioning gives you more freedom in motion as your teammates examine the pitch and react accordingly; darting forward in coordinated runs, or moving into space to provide consistent attacking support. You’ll see players break from the midfield to support a target man, get on the move early to anticipate a precise through ball, and open up the defence by playing the double give and go with team mates.

Team Styles
In FIFA 18 you’ll immediately recognize some of the world’s most-recognized tactics on the pitch. From catenaccio to counter attack, quick passing to direct play, you’ll see some of Europe’s best clubs’ playing styles authentically recreated and feel a change in defensive and attacking approaches every time you choose a new club or opponent.

Dynamic Quick Substitutes
For the first time, you can easily make changes in-game without having to pause with new context-based substitutions. Whether it’s a missed chance, or a necessary response to conceding a goal, you can instantly decide if a change is needed without visiting the menu.
