The HMD phone, announced first a MWC 2018 offers numerous improvements in comparison to last year's Nokia 7 as it comes with a full HD+ display, ample RAM and storage, dual camera optics, an efficient battery and more. Design & Display
Nokia 7 Plus is a smartphone with a lot of strength, literally. The device is baked in an Aluminum (6000 series) body, with edges made of copper that simply makes it feel and look premium. The corners on the Nokia 7 Plus are not as curved as the one on the Nokia X6 and Nokia 6(2018) , making it appear more rectangular, but the slight curves around the back should make it more easier to handle and maneuver. The bezels are much thinner here, up front, mostly on the sides while at the rear side sits the fingerprint sensor in a preferred and reachable position.
Nokia 7 Plus comes with a body dimension measuring 158.4 x 75.6 x 8 mm , and weighs 158g. The devices comes in two colours; Black/Copper and White/Copper.
The Nokia 7 Plus also packs a punch in terms of display. The large 6.0-inch full-HD+ display offers more screen real estate, thanks to the shrunken bezels. The display, which has a Corning Glass 3 protection comes with an 18:9 aspect ratio to let you see more at once. With a 1080 x 2160 pixel resolution and a 403 pixel density, expect multimedia contents and text to appear sharp and vibrant from virtually every viewing angle, even under bright sunlight outdoors.
Camera, Hardware & Software
The dual camera, with Zeiss optics on the Nokia 7 Plus features a 12-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture and a 13-megapixel telephoto sensor f/2.6 aperture. The cameras, backed with dual LED flash can shoot videos at 2160p and has 2x optical zoom and bothie mode capability. The 16-megapixel camera at the front of the Nokia 7 Plus is also of Zeiss optics and can shoot videos at 1080p. This is a solid setup that should perform well in both bright and low light conditions.Performance-wise, the Nokia 7 Plus is a beast for a mid-ranger. It is rocking an Octa-core Snapdragon 660 processor; with 4 of the cores clocked at 2.2 GHz while the other 4 maxes out at 1.8 GHz, with an Adreno 512 GPU. You get 4GB of RAM and 64 GB internal storage with an option for expansion via the hybrid memory card slot to as high as 256 GB.
Nokia 7 Plus runs on Android 8.0 Oreo, and thanks to the stock android, you should get swift update to Android P when it finally arrives. With this configuration (although not at the Galaxy S9 or LG G7 ThinQ level), the Nokia 7 Plus should conveniently run heavy and power hungry apps/games with ease and multitasking should be as smooth.

Nokia 7 Plus is powered by a sizable 3,800 mAh non-removable battery that should last you through a day with a fairly intensive usage. It comes with Qualcomm's quick charge technology that provides fast charging capabilities via the fast USB-C port, thanks to the 9 volts charger included in the retail box.Other connectivity options on the Nokia 7 Plus includes dual SIM (Hybrid slot), 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, NFC, Headphone jack, Wi-Fi and more. In Nigeria, the Nokia 7 Plus will support LTE on all major networks including MTN, 9mobile, NTel, Globacom, InterC, and Smile.
Price & Availability
