Design and Display
Sporting an Aluminum body with a glass front, Nokia 6 (2018) is a premium smartphone built to last. The sides are sharper and the edges less curved. Moving to the back, you will notice it is slightly curved into the sides to allow the device rest well in your palms. Below the single camera and LED flash on the Nokia 6 (2018) is the fingerprint sensor where it is easier to reach.
The Nokia 6 (2018) has prominent chins at both the top and bottom of the IPS display which might not seem 2018-like but with a quality full-HD resolution at 1080 x 1920, expect images and videos to appear sharp, colourful and vibrant. The 5.5-inch display, with Gorilla Glass 3 protection should make watching movies amongst other things more immersive.
Camera, Hardware and Software
Camera-wise, HMD decided to go with a single 16-megapixel module on the Nokia 6 (2018), made of Zeiss optics with a f/2.0 aperture lens and backed by a dual-LED flash. The sensor will shoot 2160p (2K) videos at 30 frames per second. An 8-megapixel camera with similar f/2.0 aperture is what you get for selfies upfront.Nokia 6 (2018) features a mid-range Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 SoC, with eight cores clocked at 2.2 GHz speed, and Adreno 508 GPU that should breeze through multitasking and gaming without any problems. You get 3GB or 4GB options in terms of the internal memory and 32GB or 64GB in-built storage respectively, which you can decide to increase via microSD of up to a massive 256GB. Nokia 6 (2018) boots on stock Android 8.1 Oreo (under Android Go) with an update to Android P to follow suit soon.
Battery and Other Features
Inside the Nokia 6 (2018) is a decent 3,000 mAh battery unit to help keep the device running. While this may not sound huge, HMD has added Fast Charging technology via the USB-C port to get you juiced up from 0% to 50% in just 30 mins. The Nokia 6 (2018) in terms of connectivity features numerous options, some of which are dual SIM (Hybrid slot), 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, NFC, Headphone jack, Wi-Fi.In Nigeria, the Nokia 6 (2018) will support LTE on all major networks including MTN, 9mobile, NTel, Globacom, InterC, and Smile.
Price and Availability
