...and did I mention it has a pop-up camera?!
The first true all-screen smartphone is set to graze the smartphone market and, yeah, the buzz is presently on a high. Vivo, not Samsung or Apple is set to pioneer the launch of a smartphone on June 12th, 2018 that will feature a full frontal display, with no bezels or notch in sight.
The Vivo Apex, as it will be reportedly named, has been a concept smartphone since February of this year, when it was first introduced at the Mobile World Congress but that will soon become a reality according to a new commercial released by the Chinese OEM.

The concept phone itself, the Vivo Apex came with three top-of-the-line features; a full frontal bezel-less display with a claimed "world best" screen-to-body ratio, a pop-up front-facing camera and an in-display fingerprint scanner. And the company, in its invite for the upcoming event says the new phone “continues Vivo’s vision with Apex FullView Concept Smartphone.”
Vivo tries to play it safe with that comment, so this begs the question whether Vivo will implement all those wiz tech in the real device. Well, we'll soon find out! Except for the fact that the commercial will play at the upcoming Fifa 2018 world cup in Russia, that is how much info currently available. I'll keep you updated as the lauch date inches closer and more details unfold.
Also, there are other companies trying out the all-screen display thing at prestent. Doogee is one of such companies, while Lenovo also has the Lenovo Z5 which has be taunted for June release.
What do you think of that all-screen display? Oh and that pop-up camera as well? Let me know in the comments below!
