Fruity Loops '20' adds support for Apple Mac, other new features

Fruity Loops '20' is now available for Apple Mac, plus new features

The popular music production tool, FL Studios (Fruity Loops) is finally available for Apple Mac after over two decades of its release, according to a report by Pitchfork.

The new version of the Digital Audio Workstation created since 1997 by Image-Line also comes with a host of new features. FL Studio v20 now adds support for time signatures, freezing for clips in order to free up CPU, and the ability to have multiple “arrangements” so users can work with different versions of a project at one time.

According to the company, it had initially begun working on a Mac version back in 2013, and released a version in 2014 which unfortunately didn't past the testing stages. The reason for the DAW’s delay in moving over to Mac was due to Delphi, the programming language used, which used to be more suited for Windows. If you buy FL Studio, the license covers both Mac and Windows. Current FL Studio owners can download the Mac version for no additional charge, and projects are compatible between the Mac and Windows versions of the program.

The most basic version of the program is priced at $99 (36,000 naira), while the more robust FL Studio goes for $899 ( around 328,000 naira) and includes a host of VSTs.
