Design and Display
The Samsung Galaxy S9+ sports a similar build and design to its sibling, the Galaxy S9, which means less rounded edges and a subtle curvature both on the front and rear, thinner bezels and an earpiece that doubles as a stereo speaker.
The fingerprint sensor on the back of the Galaxy S9+ also sits in a comfortable spot below the vertically arranged dual camera sensors for easier reach. The device's display and back panel is shielded by Corning Gorilla Glass 5.
The Galaxy S9+ measures 158.1 by 73.8 by 8.5 mm and weighs 163g. It comes in four colour options; Midnight Black, Titanium Grey, Lilac Purple and Coral Blue
The Samsung Galaxy S9+ sports a 6.2-inch SuperAMOLED, edge-to-egde display with Quad HD resolution (1440 x 2960), and an aspect ratio of 18.5:9.
Camera
The Samsung Galaxy S9+, as earlier stated is the first Samsung smartphone in the S line to feature dual cameras. One of the 12 megapixel primary sensor features an f/2.4 aperture which takes the regular photos and serves as the primary shooter.
The second 12 megapixel sensor, on the other hand, is a telephoto lens that packs an f/1.5 aperture which helps enhance photos in extreme low-light conditions by letting in more light. It also doubles with the primary sensor to take photos with bokeh effects -like on the Galaxy Note 8- which can be adjusted on-the-go or after taking the photo.
The camera has features like LED flash, autofocus, touch focus, face/smile detection, Auto HDR, panorama, geo-tagging and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). It can shoot videos at 4K.
An 8-megapixel camera is on the front, with features like LED flash, dual video call, Auto HDR, autofocus. The camera can shoot videos at 2K. With this setup, photos should appear crisp and colourful as is the case with Samsung cameras in recent years.
Performance and Storage
The Samsung Galaxy S9+ is powered by the newer Qualcomm MSM8998 Snapdragon 845 (Octa-core (4x2.3 GHz & 4x1.7 GHz, Adreno 630 GPU) chipset, for users in The USA & China. The Galaxy S9+ ships with the Exynos 9810 (Octa-core (4x2.35 GHz Kryo & 4x1.9 GHz Kryo), Mali-G72 MP18 GPU) chipset globally. Both chips are paired with a more efficient 6GB of RAM. You should have no issues with performance as either variant should provide smooth multitasking across board.
64 GB/128 on-board storage is what ships with the Samsung Galaxy S9+ and it can be further bolstered with a microSD of up to 400GB. That's more than enough space for pretty much anything.
Battery and Other Features
Samsung Galaxy S9+ edges its brother in the battery department with a larger 3,500mAh non-removable battery unit. Fast charging (Quick charge 2.0) and fast wireless charging (Qi wireless charging) options are also available. The device runs on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box, with a streamlined Samsung TouchWiz UI on top.
Other extras like the Heart rate monitor, Iris scanner, Face recognition, Bixby assistant and a newly introduced 'Blood Pressure sensor' are also available on the S9+.

Alternative Smartphones to The Samsung Galaxy S9+
The Samsung Galaxy S9 or Galaxy S8 are phones in the Samsung camp that offer similar user experience and sells for a bit less.
The Nokia 8 is also a great option to consider given the presence of dual 13 megapixel sensors on the back and a 13 megapixel selfie shooter, plus a solid 4GB/6GB of RAM and a much lower price.
