US to check your social media accounts before approving visa!

The slow process gets even slower!😟

For those of you travelling to the US from Nigeria or any part of the world and are yet to re-new your visa or are applying for a new one, you might want to be prepared for this.

The US State Department has today, passed into law a bill expanding its questionnaire for visa applicants. A section has been added in which you will be required to disclose your social media handles from the last five years and biographical information going back 15 years. This, they say is to help identify applicants better and to carry out tougher and rigorous vetting for security purpose.

Additional questions also added include email addresses, phone numbers, past addresses, previous employment and travel history.

Reports also say that failure to answer to these questions could cause delay or prevent the visa's processing completely.
