Google's Job Search tool is now Live

Google, In an effort to help jobseekers connect easily with employers, has rolled out new Search features.

Jobseekers will now be able to see job listings from employers, straight from the search page.

Now, by just typing simple queries like “jobs near me” or “retail jobs” in the search box, you will see available job positions directly on the search page. This is quite quick and easy – no more digging through sites like Facebook, LinkedIn and the likes.

Aside that, Google lets you narrow down your search by filtering positions by category, title, date posted, type, and even commute time, so that you don't just get list of jobs links that are irrelevant or out of date. The latter filter is available if users are signed in and they share their location with Google.

In addition, you can even set alert to get notifications when new jobs that fit your job requirements are posted.

Google says it’s partnered with industry organizations like LinkedIn, Monster, WayUp, DirectEmployers, CareerBuilder, Glassdoor and Facebook. Jobs posted on any of these websites will surface in search results.

The new Search feature has been launched in the United States for English language users.

*I hope this comes to Nigeria pretty soon*
