We have already seen budget smartphones from HMD, Nokia smartphone makers, which are the Nokia 3 and Nokia 5. But there is a new addition to that line which has been in the rumour mill for a while now, and that is the Nokia 2.
Renders of the upcoming Nokia 2 was posted on Twitter by leakster, Evan Blass, which revealed the front and back panels of the device. The Nokia 2, as seen in the picture, sports the signature design we have seen in the Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6.
The front is mostly plain, and the lack of a physical Home button means the Nokia 2 will feature soft keys at the bottom and that means the absence of a fingerprint scanner on the front as well. Uptop is the selfie camera sensor, the earpiece and the Nokia branding.
On the back is a plain design as well, with just the essentials which are the rear camera and LED flash. The bottom right corner is sits the loud speaker grill while the right side is where you find the power and volume buttons.
The Nokia 2 has been tipped to feature a 5-inch display, that will probably be a regular HD at 720p or Full HD at 1080p. Meanwhile, the Nokia 2 had been certified by FCC and the battery capacity was revealed in the process.
The device which will come with the model number TA-1029 will pack a behemoth 4,000mAh battery which is great, especially for an entry-level device. Going by this information, you should expect to get at least a day of use with the Nokia 2, due to the efficient processor it runs on and a moderate display size and resolution it packs.
Also, the Nokia 2 will run on stock android, which means you get faster software updates. And there is a possibility that it will come pre-installed with Android 8.0 Oreo at launch. The Nokia 2 according to reports will cost around $160 to $180 for the 2GB/16GB version. HMD is also planning to launch its flagship Nokia 9 soon.
