The LG V30's overall footprint has been shrinked, compared to the LG V20. It now comes in a body that measures 151.7 x 75.4 x 7.4 mm and weighs 158 g. No much colour flavours are available for now as the V30 only comes in Cloud Silver and Moroccan Blue.
The LG V30 sports an edge-to-edge, near bezel-less, P-OLED display that is 6-inches in size and comes in at Quad HD (1440 x 2960 pixels ). Gaming and media consumption on the LG V30 should be an enjoyable experience. And the viewing angles and outdoor visibility should present no issues as well.
Camera

Several features from the V20 returns with the LG V30's camera but one notable addition is the "Cine mode." This is basically a video recording mode that lets you apply colour effects (Cine effects) on whatever you are shooting, on-the-go to give your videos a professional look.
Another great addition is the ability to record videos in log format to get a better dynamic range and detail, which you can later take to your computer for further fine tuning if you so desire.
The cameras on the V30 can record videos at 2160 pixels @30fps. It also features modes like autofocus, touch focus, HDR, panorama, geo-tagging.
On the front of the V30 is a decent 5-megapixel sensor, with features like autofocus, LED flash to aid for better shots in dark areas

The LG V30 is powered by a Qualcomm MSM8998 Snapdragon 835, Octa-core (4x2.35 GHz Kryo & 4x1.9 GHz Kryo) processor, paired with an Adreno 540 GPU , and backed by 4GB of RAM. 64 GB or 128 GB storage option is what you are getting on the LG V30, which should be enough for pretty much anything, but if you need extra space, you can add a Micro SD card of up to 256 GB.
Battery & Other Features
A 3, 300mAh non-removable battery provides juice for the LG V30 and it is aided with Fast charging capabilities (Quick Charge 3.0) that LG claims will provide 50% charge in just 36 minutes. The LG V30 runs on Android 7.1.2 Nougat out of the box, which should get an update to Android Oreo soon.

Alternative Smartphones to The LG V30
The LG V30 ticks every box when it comes to a premium smartphone, but it is still expensive, even though not as the Samsung Galaxy Note 8. If you are a photography lover and you do a lot of video recording, then you should consider the Nokia 8 as an option. It comes with a great display as well, high-end specs, with three 13-megapixel cameras; one on the front and two on the back, at a much lower price tag.
The Galaxy S8 and S8 plus are also great looking premium smartphones with top of the line specs. The OnePlus 5 is another option to check out. Elsewhere in the big display category is the Infinix Note 4 and Infinix Note 4 Pro, which also comes with a stylus.
