Uber has finally decide to make Expedia's President and CEO, Dara Khosrowshahi its new CEO according to The New York Times. Mr Khosrowshahi will replace Former CEO and Co founder, Travis Kalanick who resigned back in June this year.
Mr. Kalanick's resignation came after the chaos that ensued following Susan Fowler’s blog post accusing the company for failing to adequately address sexual harassment issues raised by her.
It was also stated in the report that former General Electric CEO Jeff Immelt and Hewlett Packard Enterprise Chief, Meg Whitman were candidates considered for the job but they both made their intentions clear in a tweet as to not being interested in the job.
According to Recode, Uber has not made an official announcement on the appointment yet because Mr Dara Khosrowshahi has not formally accepted the job offer.
