If you use Google search on PC regularly, you will notice that you get a number of search results before you press/click enter.
These results are based on what Google thinks you are searching for. And while it hits the nail on the head sometimes and provides you with accurate or desired results, It can bring up unrelated results in other cases.
But now, Google is removing it completely from its search query options. Reason being that people now make more searches on their mobile devices.
Google said, "Many more of our searches happen on mobile, with very different input and interaction and screen constraints. With this in mind, we have decided to remove Google Instant, so we can focus on ways to make Search even faster and more fluid on all devices,”
But, thank God we still have the 'Search Suggestions'
The Difference
'Google Instant/Instant Search' displays results when you are typing in the search box and before you hit the 'Search' icon. While 'Google Suggestions' comes up as a drop down and are based on your past searches or similar things others have searched for that relates to what you're searching for.
