Samsung's Bixby assistant now allows for money transfer, currency exchanges




Bixby, Samsung's own digital assistant, according to a report has been boosted with more capabilities as users can now check their account details, transfer money between accounts and even make currency exchanges.

According to GSMarena, The feature makes use of Samsung Pay for payments, while authentication is done through biometrics (such as iris and fingerprint) using Samsung Pass.

This new functionality has only been launched in South Korea and there are only three participating banks that currently listed: Shinhan Bank, Woori Bank, and KEB Hana Bank. Exchange of currency is also possible with Bixby but only for Woori Bank customers - at least for now. 

The feature should hit major markets soon.
