Leagoo S8 is another affordable smartphone from the Chinese smartphone manufactures that packs a lot of power for its price. Leagoo S8 sports a massive 5.7inch HD+ display, A Quad (Four) camera setup, 3GB of RAM and a few more extras.

Design & Display
Leagoo S8 looks strikingly like Samsung Galaxy S8 from the front. It comes in a metal unibody that is curved slightly at the edges and sides. The display and back also curves into the sides giving it a classy look. This should also make it a more comfortable smartphone to handle. Leagoo S8 comes in two colour variants; Dazzle Black and Dazzle Blue.The display on the Leagoo S8 is also impressive. Leagoo S8 sports a big 5.7 inch HD+ bezel-less screen with a 1440 x 720 pixel resolution. With the thinner bezels and a 18:9 aspect ratio, expect to get more room while consuming media on the Leagoo S8's display.
Camera, Performance & Storage
Leagoo S8 ships with four camrears. At the back is the 13-megapixel and 2-megapixel optics which are backed by dual LED flash. The company says this camera setup allows 20% more light in for better low light shots.The Leagoo S8 sports an 8-megapixel and 2-megapixel setup on the front that is capable of taking photos with the now infamous 'bokeh' effect. Leagoo S8 selfie cameras can also shoot 1080p videos at 30fps.
In terms of performance, Leagoo S8 is powered by an Octa-core Mediatek processor that runs at 1.5GHz and is backed by 3GB of RAM. This setup should handle multitasking without much hiccups and most games should also run just fine. Leagoo S8 ships with 32GB internal storage, which you can further expand via a microSD of up to 128GB.
Leagoo S8 runs on the latest Leagoo OS v4.0 on top of Android 7.0 (Nougat). Hopefully, the Leagoo S8 will receive an early Android Oreo upgrade.
Battery & Other features
The Leagoo S8 is fitted with a 2,940mAh battery. This is a bit disappointing considering the power and size of display it features. The company, however, added fast charging features that can be achieved with a 5V/2A adapter. This should get you up to 75% charge in 30mins.Leagoo S8 supports dual SIM and super fast 4G LTE internet connection. The Leagoo S8 comes with a fingerprint sensor on the back for that extra security. It also comes with a new Face Access feature that helps unlock the handset with a scan of your face.
Other connectivity features on the Leagoo S8 are a USB Type-C port, Bluetooth and Wi-fi 802.11/b/g/n.

The Leagoo S8 is not yet available in Nigeria and Kenya but you can be able to purchase the device at leading online stores when if finally arrives. Alternative Smartphones to Leagoo S8
You can check out the much cheaper and older Leagoo M8 Pro with the same display size, dual camera setup and a much larger battery capacity although it comes with less power overall. The Leagoo S8 Pro comes with a slight edge compared to the Leagoo S8 and sells at a bit higher price.The Tecno Spark and Spark Plus. can also fit into your preference due to the good camera experience they offer.
Another great option is the Oukitel K5000 with a massive 21MP selfie camera and a larger 5,000 mAh battery and a much lesser price tag.
