The release of the Honor 10 by Honor, Huawei's sub-brand was very much anticipated due to the immense success of the P20 series; P20 lite, P20 and P20 Pro unveiled by Huawei last month, and right of the bat, it's safe to say that the Honor 10 is one the fans will fall in love with... and for good reasons too.

There is so much going well for Honor's newest flagship smartphone that is meant to target the upper mid-ranged smartphone space which we'll get to in a bit but let's talk about the most obvious which is the looks. Honor 10's eye cathy build and design is attractive! Just like the P20, it ships with a glass-coated back that shifts its colours at an angle, introducing the so-called "color radiance" Aurora Glass coating technology to the Honor line, but only in the Phantom Blue and Phantom Green hues.

The device launches with a high-quality dual-camera setup (16MP RGB+24MP monochrome) that features f/1.8 aperture, PDAF (phase detection autofocus), as well as AI-powered scene recognition, plus intelligent image stabilization. Housed in the infamous notch is a 24-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture, while a under-glass ultrasonic fingerprint sensor rests in the home key at the bottom bezel.

Honor 10 adopts the notch-y front too that featured on the P20, with a 19:9, 5.8" FHD+ display, at a resolution of 2280 x 1080 pixels (432ppi), and runs on Kirin 970 processor, the same that powers the Huawei P20, with 4GB RAM plus 64/128GB internal storage configurations.

The device is powered by a 3,400 mAh battery with ultrafast 5A charging support that goes to 50% in 25 minutes. The phone boots on Android 8.1 Oreo with  EMUI 8.1 on top, and comes with several connectivity options such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, USB Type-C, and LTE support. Honor even threw in a few extras like the headphone jack and IR Blaster.

The company, at launch is making the Honor 10 available in 26 countries, and will be priced at $540.20 ( around 194,500 naira) for the 128GB version, or $478.14 (around 170,000 naira) for the basic 64GB option.
