Etisalat Nigeria is on the path to restructuring, which means some people have to go while others come in with fresh ideas to move the Telco giant forward.
The Company, early this week, announced the resignation of its former Chairman, Hakeem Belo-Osagie, with CEO – Matthew Willsher and CFO – Olawole Obasunloye also stepping down.
Etisalat Nigeria has now confirmed the appointment of former Celtel Nigeria (now Airtel) Deputy Managing Director, Boye Olusanya, as its new CEO.
Other appointments confirmed include Dr. Joseph Nnanna – Chairman, Mr. Oluseyi Bickersteth, Mr. Ken Igbokwe, and Mrs. Funke Ighodaro.
Boye Olusanya was also the former Deputy CEO of ECONET Wireless, and former Chief Business Transformation Officer at Dangote Industries.
He holds a B.Sc in Civil Engineering and M.Sc in Environmental Civil Engineering from a Liverpool University, and also a M.Sc in Computer Science from Manchester University.
The telecoms company was taken over by Etisilat Group after it was unable to repay a debt around $1.7 billion ( about N541.8 billion).
