Diamond Bank Appoints Jumia Nigeria CEO To Its Board
Diamond Bank has appointed Mrs Juliet Anammah, the CEO of Jumia Nigeria, along with Mrs Aisha Muhammed Oyebode and Mr Dele Babade, as Non-Executive Directors. The approval of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) for these appointments have been granted.
Mrs Juliet Anammah holds a degree in B. Pharm from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, an MBA in Finance from ESUT Business School. She is also a reputable business consultant with many years spent in management consulting at Accenture, Nigeria.
She is a member of the Corona Schools Trust Council Governing Board and is a director in the American Business Council, Idea Incubator and Nigeria Chapter, WEConnect International. She was appointed the Chief Executive Officer of Jumia Nigeria in 2015.
Meanwhile, Mrs Aisha Oyebode is a legal practitioner and business consultant who holds a Master of Laws degree in Public International Law from Kings College, University of London. She also holds an MBA in Finance from Imperial College, University of London and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
Mrs. Oyebode is the founder and Group Chief Executive Officer of Asset Management Group Limited, a company established in 1991 that specialises in real estate development and management. She Founded and serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the Murtala Muhammed Foundation and is a director of Cambridge Growth Partners.
Mr Dele Babade holds a Bachelors and Masters degree in Law. He started his career with HSBC Investment Bank, London on the Graduate Training Programme.
In 1998, he joined Nomura International in London as a Director for Investment Banking for Africa. After re-joining Citibank in 2000, he was moved to Nigeria in 2001 as an Executive Director covering Nigeria and West Africa and was a board member from 2001 to 2006.
He started his own investment advisory firm in 2007 but left briefly to join Ecobank Nigeria as Head of Ecobank Capital from 2010 to 2012. Since 2012, he has been running his firm basically doing cross border transactions. He currently serves as a Board Director of the Africa Risk Capacity Pan African Insurance Company and is the Chairman of its Finance and Investment Committee.
