Samsung Galaxy J-series line of budget smartphones gets updated


The Galaxy J-series budget smartphones from Samsung has been updated, with all three devices now sporting a metal body.

The J3 comes with a 5-inch HD display, Exynos 7570 quad-core processor, clocked at 1.4GHz,  2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, and a 2,400mAh battery.

The J5 and J7 are both fitted with HD super AMOLED displays  (5.2-inch and 5.5-inch, respectively); 16GB of storage, expandable up to 256GB with a microSD card; quad-core 1.6GHz processors; and 13MP front and rear cameras. The J7 comes with 3GB of RAM while the J gets a lower 2GB of RAM.

No current release dates for the updated J3, J5 or J7 in Nigeria. Expect prices to start at 85,000, 105,000 and 125,000 Naira for the J3, J5 and J7 respectively when available.

All three devices run Android 7.0 Nougat and will be available in black and gold.
