The Tecno Camon X Pro comes with slightly better upgrades in the camera and hardware department. Camon X Pro packs a 24MP front-facing camera with dual-LED flash, 4GB of RAM/64GB internal storage, a new Face ID feature and Android 8.1 (Oreo).

Design & Display
Tecno Camon X Pro is arguably one of the best industrial designed phone from Tecno Mobile till date. Tecno have upped the ante in smartphone design in recent years and the Camon X Pro is a living testimony of such continual refinement. You are greeted with the Camon X Pro's almost bezeless display, and around the back are the slightly curved edges that melts into the rounded sides of the device for easier handling.The Gold accent that is laced all around the sides and back (top and bottom + logo) of the Camon X Pro gives it a stunning appearance that screams 'premium.'
Camon X Pro, compared to its predecessor, packs a better 6.0 inch display with a Full-HD resolution (2160 x 1080 pixels). The added 10% brightness makes the display much brighter which should translate to more text legibility, and clearer multimedia contents (videos and photos) while viewing under direct sunlight. Camon X Pro comes in two colours; Midnight Black, Bordeaux Red.
Camera, Performance & Storage
Like the Camon X, the 'Pro' comes with numerous effects (Bokeh effects, super PD focus technology) and a more impressive image processing capability with a better 24-megapixel front-facing camera optic. The selfie shooter on the Camon X Pro is backed by two LED flash to give your photo a better appearance in low light conditions. The brightness of the LED flash up front, according to Tecno Mobile, can be adjusted on the go with gesturesAlso, according to the company, (there is now an) advanced imaging algorithm, (that projects) as much as 108 invisible dots onto your face to highlight the exquisite contour on your face and present the most natural selfies.
The Camon X Pro sports a 16 megapixel camera at the back. With a powerful LED flash included, expect to take stunning photos at any time of the day. The camera can also shoot 1080p videos at 30fps.
The Camon X Pro is powered by the same Octa-core Mediatek processor, like the one on the Camon X that runs at 2.0GHz but is now supported with 4GB of RAM. This configuration should handle multitasking and other graphics intensive apps smoothly. Camon X Pro ships with a larger 64GB base storage, which you can further expand via a microSD of up to 128GB.
Camon X Pro runs on Android 8.1 with HiOS 3.0 on top. Tecno Mobile, as at the time of writing this review, haven't stated if the Camon X Pro will receive an early Android P upgrade.
Battery & Other features
The Camon X Pro gets its juice from a 3,750mAh battery unit which is a bit disappointing considering how much power it is packing. But Tecno Mobile has redeemed itself, in a way, by adding fast charging technology (light speed charging). With just 10mins of charge, Tecno Mobile claims you can take a whopping 1000 photos.Camon X Pro supports dual SIM and super fast 4G LTE internet connection. The Camon X comes with a fingerprint sensor on the back for that extra security. It also comes with a new Face ID feature that helps unlock the device with a scan of your face.
Other connectivity features on the Camon X Pro are a USB Type-C port, Bluetooth and Wi-fi 802.11/b/g/n.

Alternative Smartphones to Tecno Camon X Pro
The Camon X should easily top this list as it offers a similar user experience to the Camon X Pro, and can save you a few thousand bucks.Other cheaper options in the Tecno Mobile's line of smartphones that focuses on the camera experience are the Tecno Spark and Spark Plus. The Phantom 8 is another great option although it comes with a higher price tag.
You can also checkout the Oukitel K5000 with a massive 21MP selfie camera and a larger 5,000 mAh battery that sells at just under N50,000.
