I've seen phones get dropped from unbelievable heights, scratched, bent, and even microwaved. But frying a phone is on a whole new level.
Some dude in Scotland decided to put the S8 to the 'frying test'.The Galaxy S8 was first coated with authentic Scottish chip shop batter mix, and then placed it into an electric fryer (with oil preheated to 200 degrees Celsius). The S8 was left in the fryer for 1 minute. Watch what happened below:
Interestingly, the phone didn't give way as it still functioned after been overheated to such degree of temperature. Though, the main area of the phone that wasn't coated showed a gold shine when he screen went off and a yellow cast when it was turned on. The fingerprint sensor on the back was also totally toast. They even thought it will explode at such temperature, but the S8 held on strong.
The Samsung Galaxy S8, once again, proves to be a well built device that can withstand virtually any test you throw at it. Don't begin frying your phone though.
