Google wants to spice up Google Assistant a little bit with a new Male voice, just incase the female voice you are used to is beginning to bore you.
The new voice assistant which Google named "Voice II" is already live and you can choose to select it by going under Settings in your Google Home app or Google mobile assistant and selecting Preferences > Assistant. Both Voice assistants will then appear for selection.
The update is only presently available in the US but it should be available globally in a matter of weeks. Just make sure you have the latest update of Google on your mobile devices before hand.
