Microsoft has launched a new app on Windows 10 that will allow you access some features on your phone directly from your desktop PC. The app, known as "Your Phone", which was unveiled at its Build developer conference yesterday will give you access to texts, photos, and notifications.

Features will vary depending on iOS and Android, but Microsoft can mirror far more Android phone features to a Windows 10 PC so you never have to physically pick up your device while you’re working on a PC. The Your Phone app will include access to SMS, photos, and notifications initially but other features will subsequently be consolidated.

The Your Phone app, according to Microsoft  will be tested this week with Windows Insider, whose feedback will result to how this eventually ends up being a feature on Windows 10. Microsoft is currently testing the next major update to Windows 10, codenamed “Redstone 5,” and it’s expected to be available in the fall later this year.

Microsoft also announced an update for Outlook which will allow for online payments within the app. Not sure if it'll work in a similar way to Instagrams'... or maybe better.

The company will emphasize more on the capability of the Your Phone app in the course of the Build developer conference, 2018 but for now, what do you think of this new feature? please leave a comment below.
