Apple to pay Samsung a whopping $110 on every iPhone X sold

A new analysis has shown that Samsung will be pocketing about $110 on every unit of the iPhone X sold by Apple.

For those not in the know, Samsung is the company supplying Apple with the OLED display on the iPhone X, at an estimated cost of $70 per panel. It also turns out that a few other components in the iPhone X are manufactured by Samsung.

An analysis conducted by Counterfeit Technology Market Research for the World Street Journal, however, pegs the overall revenue generated by Samsung on a single iPhone X sold at $110, and with a projected sales of the iPhone X at 130 million units by the summer of 2019, it means Samsung will be smiling to the banks with billions, thanks to Apple.

According to Phonearena, Samsung will make $4 billion less in the same time frame with an estimated sales of 50 million units of the Galaxy S8, whose components costs around  $202 per unit.
